AUTONOMIC WELLNESS Individuals & Couples

Memory reconsolidation is a collection of historical wounds that can arise in the system in the present and impact relating dynamics. Over time these wounds can become embodied resulting in Autonomic Nervous System patterned experience. Unburdening of these wounds and restoration of the nervous system so ir can be well- meaning act flexibly is key. An individualized plan for autonomic care and embodied wellness must be a part of any couples work!

KETAMINE ASSISTED PSYCHOTHERAPY (KAP)

We use a collaborative care model with eligible clients to support sublingual KAP to activate an individual’s innate healing capacity AND offer low dose Couples KAP work.. KAP is known to powerfully disrupt painful patterns & defenses and fertilize neuroplasticity. Eligible individuals/couples often greatly accelerate their work enlisting this ally in their work. KAP can create a temporary halt in memory reconsolidating as well as support finding/re-connecting with SELF- both of which can be key struggles faced by Complex Couples.

Couples & Ketamine

Ketamine Fuels Neuroplasticity

ND Compass Outer Ring adjunct work: Short duration 6-8 session work to set the outer ring of the ND Compass then you return to your primary therapist to continue with ongoing work

ND Compass Intensives: Outer or Inner ND Compass work in long sessions to get far setting the frame to do the work, or doing the work inside the frame :-)

What is Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP)?

Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) is a therapeutic process that uses ketamine as a catalyst to soften defenses, foster neuroplasticity, and create greater access to Self. Within the ND Compass framework, KAP serves as a supportive tool for stabilization (Outer Ring) and deeper transformation (Inner Rings), helping clients unwind entrenched patterns and reconnect with their inner resources.

We employ a collaborative process with medical professionals and your primary therapist, using low-dose sublingual ketamine to facilitate a deeply meditative “psycholytic” state. This state allows clients to access and process difficult emotions with greater openness, in alignment with Internal Family Systems (IFS) principles.

The KAP process includes:
Assessment of safety and eligibility
Preparation to optimize the experience
A guided dosing session
Integration to apply insights into daily life

Clients commonly report transformative shifts, including:

Experiencing deep calm for the first time
Relaxing habitual vigilance and self-distrust
Accessing difficult emotional states with less fear
Enhanced capacity for mindfulness and presence
Accelerated couples work—moving past defensive cycles to find each other’s essence

KAP can be a powerful complement to ND Compass work, providing a window into new relational possibilities and unlocking deeper self-awareness, connection, and healing.
